one closet, one year!

I was getting dressed for a friend's birthday party and I didn't know what I was going to put on my body. I looked in my closet and it seemed empty, unpromising. I've had these moments before; everything was old, ill-fitting, or blah. I thought to myself, "Ugh! I have NOTHING to wear!" Then I began rifling through my closet and saw a forgotten shirt I loved and many more, and I realized I was crazy. I had plenty to wear, and plenty to choose from. My closet was FULL of treasures! At that moment I decided I would take a year to explore my closet and to add NOTHING new to my wardrobe.

I would create a NEW outfit for each day in order to maximize my wardrobe and shake up my style.

Basically, I would try to "snap out" of my fashion rut, and appreciate what I have.

It was my New Years' project:
One Closet, One Year.

Done II!

After two days straight of writing, I am finished with my reports!!!!! Yay! Actually, it wasn't two days straight. It was two days of trying to write while watching the kids, which means I stayed up all night writing, and finished today only because I let the kids watch more episodes of Shaugn the Sheep,  than I care to think about. They probably lost a few brain cells.

What can I say? I overestimated my kid's ability to take care of themselves, and I underestimated the amount of time I had. Or is it the reverse? I don't really know because I am am knackered.

Richard, my brave and shining knight, is at The Clippers game with ALL of the kids right now. He really is my hero! I asked HaHa if she wanted to stay home with me, but she said, "I wan go with Daddy." So lucky me, I may get to bed before 11 for a change!!!

Outfit:

Kept it comfy as I was home all day.

Cream sweater: Cousin Hand-me-down. Forever 21.

Print Shirt: Forever 21. They do have some amazing prints!

Pants: Thrift store. It used to be a jumpsuit, but I cut it in half for some strange reason!

Shoes: American Eagle.

HaHa put a band aid on her nose because she bumped her nose! She is funny!

  2. I'm sure the kids are just as brilliant as ever, despite the Shaugn the Sheep marathon. I think tv often gets a bad rap. At least 70% of everything I know is from watching television, and I'm only a little dumb.
