one closet, one year!

I was getting dressed for a friend's birthday party and I didn't know what I was going to put on my body. I looked in my closet and it seemed empty, unpromising. I've had these moments before; everything was old, ill-fitting, or blah. I thought to myself, "Ugh! I have NOTHING to wear!" Then I began rifling through my closet and saw a forgotten shirt I loved and many more, and I realized I was crazy. I had plenty to wear, and plenty to choose from. My closet was FULL of treasures! At that moment I decided I would take a year to explore my closet and to add NOTHING new to my wardrobe.

I would create a NEW outfit for each day in order to maximize my wardrobe and shake up my style.

Basically, I would try to "snap out" of my fashion rut, and appreciate what I have.

It was my New Years' project:
One Closet, One Year.

Poor Baby!

It is really horrible to watch your child suffer. I cannot imagine having a child with a serious illness. It must be the worst. HaHa spent the entire day in Daddy's arms, and now she is in mine. She cries at every move and touch, and she has had a fever since Friday.

Richard is taking her to the doctor's tomorrow. Mostly because she is just not herself.  I am hoping her fever breaks tonight, but I don't think that's likely.

I took the boys to a birthday and commiserated with some moms about the challenge of raising two boys close in age. Apparently, I'm not alone.

On the way home the boys and I made up songs and had a good time. They beat boxed and I sang.

  2. I hope HaHa gets better, too! Also, I've decided that you should break away from your band and create an all new one just so you can name it "HaHa and the Boys", 'cause that would be a super cool band name. I picture you in black fishnets doing funk versions of punk rock covers.
