That said, the chickens have grown on me, and I've grown accustomed to their care. However, my cousin is getting married in September and she's having her reception in our backyard. Somehow, I just can't picture the reception with my feathered friends pecking about the yard, or frolicking in their fly-filled chicken run. So they have to go. There are other reasons too, but the wedding is the foremost in my mind.
We will have chickens again, but when we do, we'll make sure there are no foreseeable formal activities planned in our backyard!
P.S. If you or anyone you know wants 5 chickens and a coop, let me know! Otherwise, they're going on Craig's List!!!
Outfit:
Richard and HaHa enjoying The Misfit. |
Skirt: High school favorite.
Floral dress: New Year Goodwill find.
Tee: Worn inside out. Gift from friend.
Shoes: These are some of my favorites, bt they are falling apart. I'm hoping to find a similar pair soon!
I thank Mother Universe for this wonderful realization, one less thing you have to take care of and worry about. I am sure they will find a good home after being posted on Craigs List. Hollis looks like she isn't happy eating whatever it is. She still looks beautiful to me.
ReplyDeletelove the outfit and knowing your penchant for finding treats, i'm sure you'll have another pair of stunners in no time flat.
ReplyDeletethat pic of haha & richard is adorable.
I asked Matt about the chickens. He wasn't interested but I'll keep thinking about who may want them.
ReplyDeletei am hyperventilating! chickens! chickens! alas there is an ordinance against them here. though oddly enough you're still allowed to buy both eggs and chicken meat in the local grocery stores. huh.
ReplyDeleteI am personally happy that you are getting rid of the chickens because they were way too much work AND they wreaked havoc on your first tenants, the cats....Love, JP
ReplyDeleteOh, those chickens do make people get excited!!!
