one closet, one year!

I was getting dressed for a friend's birthday party and I didn't know what I was going to put on my body. I looked in my closet and it seemed empty, unpromising. I've had these moments before; everything was old, ill-fitting, or blah. I thought to myself, "Ugh! I have NOTHING to wear!" Then I began rifling through my closet and saw a forgotten shirt I loved and many more, and I realized I was crazy. I had plenty to wear, and plenty to choose from. My closet was FULL of treasures! At that moment I decided I would take a year to explore my closet and to add NOTHING new to my wardrobe.

I would create a NEW outfit for each day in order to maximize my wardrobe and shake up my style.

Basically, I would try to "snap out" of my fashion rut, and appreciate what I have.

Sweet Beans!

Getting back into the full-time swing of things has been a pretty gentle transition. However, I realized today that I went from being with HaHa 24/7 to 7/24. It's really strange. Yesterday I had to work late and I barely saw her. It made me feel bad. I can't imagine not having spent the last year with my little HaHa bear. She is the sweetest bean in the world!

There are some other sweet beans in my life, and they are the children in my new class! Getting to spend time with them these past few days has been splendid. They are very smart and funny, and interesting to boot! I think I am going to have a blast with them these next few months. I am also working with a new teacher who is really great and a lot of fun. Good times!





Outfit:

Dress: Goodwill.

Shirt: Goodwill. James Perse. (same as yesterday)

Skirt: My mom gave it to me! Express.

    she is indeed a sweetheart and since you've sung the praises of "the others" (lol) at one time or another on this project, i'm sure they'd happily agree!

    I don't think they'll be reading this anytime soon. If and when they ever read this(which I highly doubt unless I meet an untimely death), I'm sure they'll get that this particular post is HaHa specific. I hope they don't read it actually!They are not my target audience!
